A lot of DC fans were more than ecstatic when NetherRealm Studios finally announced the release date for their highly anticipated fighting video game sequel, "Injustice 2." However, there are now reports that have suggested that the previously announced release date might be moved due to the current strike that is being held by the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artist (SAG-AFTRA).

According to the American labor union's website, the list of games that will be affected by the strike will include "Injustice 2." The strike itself also directly impacts companies in the gaming industry such as Warner Bros.

If the strike itself is not resolved, it might be possible that the release date for "Injustice 2" may be delayed. Several reports have also revealed that the games that will be affected are mostly games that have been developed, or were being developed, since February 2015.

Majority of the concerns of the organization has been about the fair compensation of its members, which includes voice actors for video games. "Injustice 2" features a multitude of characters, which means that it will be needing the talents of a number of voice actors for it to be completed.

Apart from the SAG-AFTRA strike, fans of the series are still hopeful that the game will be released as promised and that it will contain all of the features and characters that have been teased thus far. The game itself will reportedly contain a lot of new features that was not found on its predecessor. "Injustice 2" will also include new characters such as Supergirl and the Blue Beetle.

"Injustice 2" is scheduled to be released on December 31, 2017. The game will be made available on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. Similar to its predecessor, a mobile version is also going to be released, specifically for the iOS and Android.
