"Injustice 2" is set to roll out sometime in 2017, and yet the developers at NetherRealm Studios have yet to announce the full roster of playable characters. While the usual choices like Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman are coming back, some of the additional characters are still unknown. One of the most popular rumors suggests that Black Canary is joining the game.

Dinah Lance, who is also known as the Black Canary, is often associated with the Green Arrow since the 1960s, and she played a role in the original "Injustice: Gods Among Us" video game. In previous iterations of the character, the moniker was first taken by Dinah Drake, and later, by her daughter, Dinah Laurel Lance. When the comics were rebooted, she was renamed Dinah Drake Lance.

The sequel may feature the new costume that the character now sports in the current DC continuity, the DC Rebirth, which follows the world-changing reboot of the DC New 52 series. However, it is rumored that the game will also include the version of the character seen on the CW live-action series, "Arrow."

Several weeks ago, actress Katie Cassidy posted a photo on Instagram where she is seen utilizing a motion capture suit. She also had a special set designed to capture her facial expressions and movement. Because of this, it is rumored that her version that is seen on "Arrow" will be an alternate costume in "Injustice 2."

Black Canary is known for her expertise in martial arts and her deductive abilities given her connection as the wife or daughter of Detective Lance. In many iterations, she does have one super-power, the Canary Cry, which is a supersonic cry that can stun enemies or severely injure them, depending on its intensity level.

NetherRealm Studios have yet to confirm if Black Canary is indeed going to be a playable character and if Katie Cassidy's portrayal will be an alternate costume.

No official release date has been set as of the moment, but the game is rumored to launch in March 2017.

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
