Following the launch of the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X handsets last September, Apple is expected to unveil its last major hardware before the year ends. Specifically, the iMac Pro was among the highly anticipated products of 2017 that was introduced by the tech giant at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) event last June. According to the latest reports, the next-gen desktop computer has finally got an exact date of release: December 18th.

As reported by WCCFTech, there are more hints leading to the December launch date of the iMac Pro 2017. Apple has not yet specified the release details of the latest iMac version, although a recent Google search listing suggests that the iMac Pro will arrive on Dec. 18. This release schedule will help the Cupertino-based tech firm to boost its fourth-quarter income, building up the iMac Pro sales during the holiday season.

Unfortunately for those who are already excited to get the iMac Pro into their desks, there could be another reason that the Google search result is pointing to a December 18th release date. There is a chance that Apple may not unveil the desktop machine on such date. It's just that Google's search bots may have read the number 18 from the iMac Pro's 18-core Intel Xeon processor specification and assumed that the workstation will be out on Dec. 18.

Nevertheless, Apple has given the public an assurance that the iMac Pro will be released before this year comes to an end. The company has already set a 2017 target launch for the updated iMac hardware since the first announcement at the WWDC event. The iMac Pro was then pegged as the most powerful workstation desktop coming from Apple, featuring a 27-inch Retina display with 5K resolution and 8-core chipset. It is said to include support for the HTC Vive VR headset. Recent rumors also suggest that the iMac Pro will receive a special theft prevention feature, similar to the current iPhone models.
