The highly anticipated chapter in the popular Japanese manga series "Hunter X Hunter" has been rumored to be cancelled due to the ongoing medical problems faced by its writer and illustrator, Yoshihiro Togashi. A lot of fans have been waiting for the new chapter seeing as that it has already been a long time since the manga was last updated.

The delay in the manga could also spell danger for its anime television series adaptation, which has now been slowly catching up to the manga's storyline.

However, new reports have revealed that the new chapter may still be coming out, but fans would just have to wait because it could still be a while until it is finished. According to the latest reports, the latest chapter — chapter 361 — could be coming out sometime in mid-2017.

Fans have already been made aware of the medical condition of the manga's writer and illustrator, but it seems like his wife - Naoko Takeuchi — may be able to help finish her husband's work.

Reports have revealed that publishers have apparently already contacted her about continuing her husband's work seeing as that she was already very familiar with his style of writing and his drawings.

Takeuchi is also an accomplished artist who has actually worked on renowned titles such as "Sailor Moon." Togashi's wife had also been awarded several times, and she has come in second at the Nakayosahi Comic Prize for Newcomers. Takeuchi has also received the New Artist Award in 1986.

There are, of course, several things that have been left unanswered in the series since chapter 360, and fans are now looking forward to finding out what happened to Kurapika after he finally learned more about the one responsible for the murders in the ship.

Unfortunately, it might still be quite a long wait as fans will have to hold off for a few months before getting the answers to their questions.
