Chinese phone company Huawei will continue to please their fans after releasing their Mate 8 phablet (phone/tablet) device with its successor, the all new Android Mate 9.
The Mate 9's predecessor — the Mate 8 — has pleased Huawei fans because of its promised two-day battery life. The Mate 8 delivers on the promise, and the device does have amazing battery life. Because of Huawei's improbable phone specifications, fans cannot help but be hyped for the release of the Mate 9.
Though the Huawei Mate 9 is slated for a November reveal, known phone leaker Evan Blass revealed photos that show how the upcoming Mate 9 will look like.
According to Blass, the Mate 9 might come to the market in two different variants: a base model and a high-end model respectively named the Manhattan and the Long Island.
Speculations suggest that both variants of the Mate 9 will come out with a QHD resolution 5.9-inch screen. However, it is rumored that the Mate 9's base model will have a flat screen display, while its higher-end model will possess a curved screen display.
Other rumors suggest that the Mate 9 will come out with the latest Android Nougat OS run on Huawei's own UI while having a massive 6 GB RAM backed up by a powerful Octa-Core HiSilicon Kirin 960 chip. The device is also said to contain a large storage capacity of 256 GB.
One thing fans are getting excited about the Mate 9 is that it is rumored to come with 20-megapixel Leica dual rear cameras with an aperture of f/2.0 coupled with a powerful 8-megapixel front shooter.
As for the Mate 9's color schemes, the device is rumored to come out to the market in the following colors: Sky Grey, Mocha Gold, Champagne Gold, Amber Gold, Ceramic White, Amber Grey, Rose Gold, Moonlight Silver, and Enamel Gloss Black.
As of now there is still no official news on the Mate 9's release date, but speculations suggest that the Huawei device might come to the market just before 2016 ends. The device is also rumored to cost somewhere around $770 USD.
