Disney has scheduled the "Gravity Falls" series finale on Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. ET. The network will air the one-hour long series-ender titled "Weirdmageddon 3: Take Back the Falls" on Disney XD. The first and second installment of the three-part special aired Oct. 26 and Nov. 23, respectively.

The finale of the Emmy award-winning animated series, as provided by Disney in a press release, reads: "Ford discovers Bill's true motives and then a final confrontation with Bill leads to the Pines family's ultimate fate and greatest sacrifice."

When news about "Gravity Falls" completely wrapping up broke last year, fans were in shock considering how great the show was doing. However, creator and executive producer Alex Hirsch clarified the sudden termination of the show.

"The first thing to know is that the show isn't being cancelled -- it's being finished," Hirsch explained to fans via his blog. "This is 100% my choice, and its something I decided on a very long time ago. I always designed Gravity Falls to be a finite series about one epic summer -- a series with a beginning, middle, and end," he went on to say.

In that same blog post, Hirsch hinted that fans may not have seen the last of Mabel, Dipper and the rest of the Pines family as he may do spinoffs or use the characters in new projects. For now, only time will tell.

Thankfully though, even with "Gravity Falls" wrapping in a little more than one month, Disney will publish the official "Gravity Falls: Journal 3," which is a very important element in the series, on July 2016. In addition, a mobile game called "Gravity Falls: Take Back the Falls" will be made available in mid-February.

Disney will also be airing a 30-minute program about all things "Gravity Falls" on Feb. 8 at 8 p.m. ET. The installment will be hosted by Time Baby, a notable character in the series. There will also be commentary from Hirsch.

To ultimately prep up fans for the finale, a 68-hour marathon of each of the episodes of the beloved series will be kick-started on Feb. 12 at 11 p.m. ET.
