The rumors are rife that Rockstar Games is preparing a new entry in the popular "GTA" series. While the studio has made no confirmation that a "Grand Theft Auto V" follow-up is coming soon, a new sequel will not be surprising given the huge success of the sandbox game. Although, Rockstar should also figure out ways to make "Grand Theft Auto VI" stand out from the rest, with every "GTA" installment becoming better in terms of graphics and gameplay. For one, fans are hoping to see a more immersive open-world experience by making indoor structures to become interactive like the outdoor environment.
Gaming Bolt suggests that if ever Rockstar has decided to launch "Grand Theft Auto VI" in the future, it would be the best opportunity to focus on indoor environments that players can fully explore. To note, the previous "GTA" titles featured private structures such as safe houses and market places that the players can access. However, their function is only limited to buying items and unlocking game quests. Players are not allowed to do much activities in indoor settings as compared to the outside world.
The online publication cited other open world titles such as "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" and "The Witcher 3" as examples of games that feature a well-developed indoor and outdoor areas. Players can enjoy "Grand Theft Auto VI" more if players will not be restricted to perform activities inside every structure, as if it is truly a part of one huge realistic environment. Rockstar can introduce buildings that can be used to decrease the player's wanted level, or perform stunts to escape from the police and gang members.
In other news, there is a possibility that "Grand Theft Auto VI" will not only focus on one poster city like the previous installments. Instead of visiting a single popular city like Miami and Las Vegas, "GTA VI" is likely to involve the entire US map. With this, the game map is expected to be much bigger, and it is up to the studio on how to make the navigation easier for players. It is also rumored that the next sequel will feature the first non-US location such as Tokyo City.
For now, "Grand Theft Auto VI" is not expected to be released earlier than 2020, with Rockstar still focused on "GTA V: Online."
