Recently, tons of rumors have been spreading that Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa) would be making a comeback in "Game of Thrones" season 8, as he has been spotted by several fans on set in Belfast. However, Momoa himself confirmed that the rumors are not true but instead revealed that the last season of the series will be nothing short of a bombshell.
Momoa's presence in the set was just a friendly visit to his fellow cast mates and the series' producers David Benioff and Dan Weiss. In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actor revealed quite a lot about season 8 as he was familiar on what is to come in the next season.
"Just knowing how amazing this season is going to be, it's going to be the greatest thing that's ever aired on TV," he said. "It's going to be unbelievable. It's going to f— up a lot of people. And it was a bummer because I'm a huge fan and I didn't want to know what's going on. I was like, 'Damn, I didn't want to know that!"
Momoa is pretty hyped with his reunion with his fellow castmates, but he has also expressed his desire to meet Kristofer Hivju, who plays Tormund Giantsbane in the series. Momoa said that he thinks Hijvu is awesome and cannot wait to meet him. His character, Tormund Giantsbance, was first introduced in season 3.
Khal Drogo was one of the most popular characters in "Game of Thrones." He was first introduced in season 1 as the head of the Dothraki tribe and the husband of Danaerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke). Unfortunately, his character met his demise at the end of the season.
In other news, one cast member of the show recently voiced out his impatience for the upcoming season. Liam Cunningham, who plays Ser Davos Seaworthy, revealed to a Rolling Stone Fan Exploder Theory video that he does not know what will happen in the next season.
"Okay, so here's the real deal on this puppy. As we speak, at this moment in time, the b******s at HBO have not sent me the scripts for the final season. They promised me the scripts this week, but they haven't sent them," said Cunningham.
He also said that fans will have to wait forever for the last season, as the scheduled release date for the series will not be out until 2019.
