Ubisoft's latest action hack and slash video game "For Honor" has just recently debuted at the Indian Games Expo last week, and fans are now claiming that the game could very well be one of the most anticipated games that will be coming out next year. The game itself features an entirely new concept that combines all the best warriors from across the world into a single setting that sees them clash their weapons in action-packed missions.
The game itself was originally announced back at the 2015 Electronic Entertainment Expo and was revealed to feature a new hand-to-hand combat system called the "Art of Battle."
The game mainly focuses on close combat fighting between history's greatest soldiers including Samurai Warriors, Knights, and Vikings. Players will be able to choose between the different warriors by selecting different factions, namely The Legion, The Warborn, and The Chosen.
At the recently held Indian Games Expo, fans were given their first glimpse of the game's single-player campaign. Based on the feedback from those who were able to try out the game, the graphics and visual effects that were used in the game was described to be "exemplary" as it uses a "smart use of color options."
Whatever that means, recently released gameplay videos do show that thetitle has amazing visuals with scenes looking quite realistic. The action sequences and cut scenes also look incredible and befit that of a next generation triple-A title.
Based on what has also been revealed, the game will itself will mainly be focused on a player's skill and timing. This is due to dodging and timed attacks becoming a vital skill to learn in order to survive the different missions and bosses.
Players will also have to be very patient to fight through the different stages as they have to constantly be aware of oncoming attacks as well as their own movements.
"For Honor" is scheduled to be released on Valentine's Day — February 14, 2017 — and will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and for the Windows PC.
