'Fear the Walking Dead' season 2: Show to keep 'slow burn' style; Travis set to do things he has never done before

There will be a lot of changes come "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 as the spinoff takes the action to the sea. Cliff Curtis is particularly excited about how going seabound will do to his character Travis, who will be a very different man when the show returns.

"Things have changed -- for my character, especially. He does things that he thought he'd never, ever have to do, and he would never be capable of doing. That's going to have an impact on him," the actor told Comic Book Resources.

Curtis also stated that "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 will still follow the "slow burn" style of the freshman season, although in the second run, this will "come up a couple of notches." AMC is also not holding back on the tension.

As for his character's relationship with Madison played by Kim Dickens, the actor believes that the terrible things and terrors that happened brought closer together just before these very circumstances are about to break them up.

Curtis believes that Travis and Madison are "diametrically opposed" when it comes to choosing what the right thing to do is. However, this will be challenged in "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2, with the survivors prepared to do anything, even horrible things, just to stay alive.

While their differences when it comes to disposition might get in the way, the actor is still excited to see Travis and Madison "working together as a team" while the latter also does his best for his family to actually be a real family even in the face of a zombie apocalypse.

Talking more about the dangers that await them in the waters on "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2, Curtis teased "I get the feeling we're not going to be the only ones at sea."

"Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 will premiere sometime next year. There will be 15 episodes in this season, a lot more compared to the first season's six.
