Japanese anime television series "Evil or Live" just concluded last week with 12 interesting episodes. But fans are already asking for a second season especially that the first season ended with a fierce conclusion. Is it possible that the anime will return for season 2?

Although the series ended with a final resolution, there is a big possibility that the anime will get another season. Since it is based on the Chinese webcomic, titled "Lixiang Jinqu," or "Ideal Restricted Area," it has enough source material for season 2. Currently, the webcomic is just in Chapter 167, and is still ongoing. The anime was adapted from the webcomic at around chapter 60 to 80. This manifests that there are still enough chapters to cover to create season 2.

The ending of the animated series featured Shin and Hibiki who plotted to gather evidence against the school administration because of its wrongdoings. After gathering evidence, they spread it all over the internet. Shin set the school building on fire with the media, the students, and the school faculty watching it burn into ashes.

How the first season finished gives a solid ending to the anime. However, it did not give an elaborate explanation of the many aspects of the story. This includes the revelation of Shin as the puppeteer behind the illegal cellphone business and many others. It also did not clarify why Hibiki still wanted to help Shiori, which was thoroughly discussed in the webcomic version.

If a second season is indeed coming, it could follow the comic by showing what happened to Instructor Shian, Shin's brother, and Jean. It can continue the story with how Shin plotted his revenge against his brother and Hibiki's relationship with Shiori.

For now, production company Haoliners Animation League has not announced any confirmation if "Evil or Live" season 2 is indeed happening. The anime premiered on Oct. 10, 2017 and ended on Jan. 2. It is possible that the second season's release will be based on the sales of the yet-to-be announced "Evil or Live" Blu-Ray.
