One of the epic scenes of the Japanese animated TV series "Dragon Ball Super" is the match between Jiren and Goku. Even the fight of Hit and Jiren was popular as well. It is apparent that Jiren is an interesting character because of his power.

In his match with Goku, which was featured in an hour-long episode, Jiren showcased how powerful he is. In order to defeat Jiren, Goku took a new form, a form that the fans have not seen before. It appears that this is the first time that Goku's Ultra Instinct power was displayed.

Aside from that, fans also saw how Jiren sent Hit out of the ring. The Universe 6 assassin is the strongest warrior in their team because of his Time-Skip technique. Although Hit managed to freeze Jiren, the Universe 11 fighter showed that he has the stamina and strength. Given how Jiren defeated two powerful opponents, fans and followers are in a limbo.

Recently, Yonkou Productions summarized a note from manga illustrator Toyotaro. A fan asked why Jiren fights and he said that the Pride Trooper will surprise "Dragon Ball Super" fans. In his Twitter post, Toyotaro said, "It will be different from the anime version. I'll shed just a little bit of light on Jiren's secret."

Until now, fans are still wondering how and why Jiren became strong. Some are even saying that he could be stronger that the Universe 11 God of Destruction, Belmod. With the answer of Toyotaro, it is possible that the manga will reveal the reasons behind Jiren's strength.

The anime and manga are different, although both versions currently feature the Universe Survival arc. If the anime will not feature the backstory of Jiren, the manga version might answer it. Hence, fans should be looking forward to the upcoming chapters of the manga.

"Dragon Ball Super" airs Sundays at 9 a.m. JST on Fuji TV. Fans of the show can also stream it online via Daisuki, AnimeLab, FunimationNow and Crunchyroll.
