Bungie has yet to officially announce any details regarding the gameplay changes they will be making for their upcoming online science fiction shooter video game "Destiny 2." However, several reports have already been circulating online which has made wild predictions about what the new sequel will be offering its loyal followers.

According to the latest reports regarding the sequel, the game will likely be coming in an open-world massively multiplayer format that will provide gamers with more areas to explore compared to its predecessor.

Several fans on the "Destiny" Reddit page have already asked the game's developers for this feature as it will likely attract more players to the game once it is released.

The current game only limits players to explore a closed area that is within visible range of where they are currently located within the game. If Bungie does heed the request of the fans, then the sequel will likely be coming with an open world system that will allow players to freely explore their environment and interact with different NPCs to start different quests and missions.

Some gamers have been complaining about the game's limited server capabilities, which actually causes heavy instancing, making it hard for players to find other online players organically.

Bungie has, of course, tried to remedy this problem with the addition of several downloadable content (DLC), including "House of Wolves" and "The Taken King."

As of the moment, progress is apparently going at a steady rate for the franchise as the company had just recently discontinued support for the older gaming consoles, namely the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.

With the upcoming sequel being built for the current generation consoles from the ground up, it is expected to features a much improved experience for players as the game can now take full advantage of the hardware on the newer consoles.

"Destiny 2" still currently has no fixed release date, but the game is expected to be coming out sometime next year for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and for Microsoft Windows.
