The dungeon crawl Japanese role-playing game (JPRG) "Demon Gaze II" will feature a brand-new protagonist alongside a slew of new characters and demons. The surprise doesn't end there, the sequel is also introducing a new setting with a variety of different locations.

"Demon Gaze II" takes place in the same world of Mythrid but in the bustling and beautiful city of Asteria. Located in the Rondel region and surrounded by bodies of water, Asteria's citizens are fairly wealthy and the city is split into four districts. All is well until people begin to disappear into thin air. This is where the new protagonist, Signa, and his merry band of revolutionists come in.

Players will be hopping into the shoes of Signa, a demon gazer with robotic-like body modifications. Signa has the power to command demons, however, due to the body modifications he received, has lost of all of his memories.

Accompanying Signa on his quest are the members of the Revolutionist Party: leader Prim, songstress Muse, smuggler Lezerem, bodyguard Cassel, palace servant Toma and writer Prometh.

The group must band together to liberate the spellbound citizens of Asteria from the evil Magnastar and the mysterious Soul Mage, Erik.

Unlike in "Demon Gaze," the demons in "Demon Gaze II" will now be allowed to join the player's party and the battle system has been revised so as to allow demons to swap between their human and non-human forms.

Some of the new demons in "Demon Gaze II" are Pegasus the Paladin, Libra the Sage, Capricorn the Lancer, Leo the Swords master, Aquarius the Charmer, Lepus the Ranger, Hydra the Ninja, and more.

Meanwhile, in the gameplay mechanics department, "Demon Gaze II" will feature dungeon exploration, an auto-move system that guides players through explored areas of a dungeon, hacking and slashing, and the new Demonize fighting mechanic. The latter allows players to toggle their companions between demon and human modes to fit the player's combat needs.

"Demon Gaze II" will be released on Nov. 14 and will be playable on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
