Funcom finally announced the coming of "Conan Exiles" on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on its Twitter page. Although the game is already available in Early Access for the first two mentioned game consoles through Game Preview Program, PS4 users still have to wait for its official release date to view the game.
Currently, the open-world survival video game's Steam Early Access version is priced at $29.99 for PC and $49.99 on Xbox One's Game Preview program. However, when the title is officially released, it will be priced at $39.99 for PC and the same $49.99 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Its Early Access version will then be removed.
"Conan Exiles" digital pre-order on Xbox One and PC comes with the Conan's Royal Armor in-game item. Although this bonus is also available for PlayStation 4, Sony game console's users still have to wait for its pre-order date that will be revealed at a later date.
The game also has its physical version, thanks to the collaboration with Saints Row franchise owner Koch Media. Players can now pre-order its Day One Edition that comes with a printed game map and Conan's Atlantean Sword that could be used in the game.
"Conan Exiles" also has a special collector's edition complete with a six-inch Conan polyresin figure. This model is inspired by Conan the Barbarian's looks from the game's cinematic trailer. This package also has a comic book prepared in partnership with Dark Horse, soundtracks, artbook, and a world map. It also has digital items like the "A Witch Shall Be Born" comic and the 368-page rulebook for the Conan pen-and-paper game.
Meanwhile, the game has been available in Early Access for almost a year now. "Early Access and Game Preview has been an absolutely invaluable tool for us in developing 'Conan Exiles,'" creative director Joel Bylos said.
Bylos explained that getting feedback from the early players has helped them improve the title's contents and bug fixes. He even teased that they are now working hard to add "new content and gameplay mechanics" that include a new jungle and volcano biomes.
"Conan Exiles" will be officially released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on May 8, 2018.
