Those who are sorely waiting for the full version of "Conan Exiles" should mark their calendars for a May 8, 2018 release. The game's early access version is currently available on PC and Xbox One through the Game Preview Program.
According to recent reports, Funcom is also releasing the game on PlayStation 4 (PS4) on the same date, even though PS4 players don't have the Early Access/Game Preview Program on their system. There are still a couple of months left before May next year, so PS4 players have no choice but to wait for the game's official release date. A new trailer has been released as well.
Those who purchased the Early Access version of "Conan Exiles" will get full access to the game at no additional cost. Players can now pre-order the physical retail version of the game at select retailers, while digital pre-orders will be announced at a later date.
Exclusive in-game items are also in store for those who pre-orders the game. Conan's Atlantean Sword will be available exclusively to those who pre-ordered the physical retail version, while those who preferred the digital version will get access to Conan's Royal Armor.
"The version we release at launch will have even more content and gameplay in it than what you see today, and will have a landmass more than double the size of what we started out with on PC Early Access launch," read the official press release. "By the time we launch, the game will have received over a year of constant polish, improvements, bug fixes, and new content."
Ultimate fans of Conan can also pre-purchase the "Conan Exiles" Collector's Edition. Inside the bundle includes a full-color comic book telling the adventures of Conan in the Exiled Lands, three soundtracks played in Conan Exiles as well as in "Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures" and "Age of Conan: Rise of the Godslayer," a full-color printed map of the "Conan Exiles World," and even a behind-the-scenes artbook.
Those who purchased the Collector's edition will also be given access codes to six full-color digital comic books from Dark Horse Comics, a code to unlock the "Coming of Conan" eBook, and the digital role-playing game (RPG) book.
Meanwhile, the centerpiece of the collector's bundle is a 15 cm / 6 inch Conan the Barbarian polyresin figurine, which is modeled from his look in the cinematic trailer of the game.
"Conan Exiles" will release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 8, 2018.
