It is the season for new title releases, among them being "Code Vein," which will be hitting the shelves both digitally and physically in 2018. Bandai Namco recently revealed some new details as well as screenshots of the gameplay, letting everyone know what they will be seeing when they get their hands on the game.

The details this time in particular are about two of the game's characters, Jack Rutherford and Eva Roux. Details have also been unveiled regarding weapon types as well as the Queen's Knight Enemy.

As revealed by Gematsu, Jack Rutherford is voiced by Junichi Suwabe. He is a Revenant called the "Revenant Hunter," who is feared by both enemies and allies. Similar to Yakumo, Jack is a combat professions that has experience in the military and also has a deep connection to the protagonist.

Eva Roux travels with Jack. She is a female Revenant who always stays by him after he saved her life. She is voiced by Saori Hayami.

The protagonists in "Code Vein" will clash with Jack and Eva in terms of perspectives. However, they can all work together under certain conditions. Similar to Louis, Jack fights with a one-hand sword while he is equipped with the "Hounds" Blood Veil, which seems to be a more aggressive fighting style. Eva is similar to Mia, who uses a bayonet to fight and often supports the player.

As for the weapon types, there are five types of weapons in the game. The two-hand sword has a slower attack speed, but has a higher reach and giant blade that can inflict some serious damage to the enemy. The two-hand sword also has a wider attack range and therefore players can hit several surrounding enemies at once with this weapon.

There is also the Halberd, which can make wide-range attacks with its long handle. The downside to using the Halberd is that there are kickbacks to many of its attacks, so players who want to use this may have to practice due to its attack timing.

Then there is the Great Hammer, which is a powerful weapon that may only have a short reach, but has high attack power as well as downing ability.

Jack's weapon, the One-Hand Sword, is quick and accurate. The One-Hand sword is best used when a player fights a slow enemy or an enemy that staggers when it is hit. The downside to this is that it is not as powerful compared to the two-hand sword.

Eva's weapon, the Bayonet, is a weapon that is great for close and long combat. The bayonet can attack enemies in a slashing motion and can even shoot them from afar.

Moving on from the weapon types, there is the Queen's Knight. The Queen's Knight is a lost humanoid that has a giant shield and sword. The Queen's Knight will block the player's path and attack with its full strength, making it a very challenging enemy to defeat. Players will have to find the right time to strike in order to defeat this opponent.

"Code Vein" will be released in 2018 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC worldwide.
