Chris Evans news: Hollywood A-lister gets back together with Jenny Slate

It is finally official! Chris Evans and Jenny Slate have given their relationship another go. The news followed after months of speculation.

Rumors were circulating that the couple were back together but things intensified when they were spotted hanging out in Atlanta, Georgia, in October. This added fuel to the fire as social media circles and entertainment sites ran with this development. A number of weeks later, it can now be said that Evans and Slate are finally back together in each other's arms and determined to give the relationship another chance.

The couple started dating last year and made occasional appearances at premieres and events. However, things took a surprising turn when they decided to break up back in January after less than a year of dating. Nevertheless, they still sang praises for one another in interviews and appearances. They spoke well of each other which led some fans to think that there may still be something between them.

Earlier in November, Evans shared a video on Twitter about his dog which was shown playing with a toy. The caption read, "This is Dodger's stuffed lion. He loves it. He brings it everywhere. If you press its paw, it sings. Today, Dodger decided to join in." When the stuffed toy started playing "The Lion Sleeps Tonight," the dog began to sing along to the delight of Evans. However, Slate was also heard in the background laughing.

This was the sign that the two were evidently on their way back to committing to each other again. Though they are together now, it still remains to be seen how long they will be able to stay together in Hollywood, a town where breakups and divorces are commonplace.

Evans will be seen next as Captain America in "Avengers: Infinity War," while Slate will star in the upcoming "Hotel Artemis."
