For a limited time starting on Jan. 23, players of "Call of Duty: World War II" will be treated to a free community event organized by Activision and SledgeHammer Games.

The event is dubbed "The Resistance," and according to Activision, it features "a brand-new Division, new game modes, new gear, free supply drops and more!"

Two new game modes will be available in the event— Demolition and Prop Hunt. For Demolition, it's similar to Search and Destroy, where one team has to strategically place explosives on several sites while the other has to locate and diffuse the bombs. Unlike Search and Destroy, however, the Demolition mode allows the players to respawn. Also, players have to be extra careful in firing weapons at this mode, as doing so depletes one's health.

Meanwhile, the Prop Hunt mode is something most players are excited to try out, as it's considered a fan favorite especially in games like "Team Fortress 2" and "Garry's Mod." According to its official description in the Call of Duty official website, "As an underground Resistance fighter, you must master the skill of stealth."

"In a fun spin, just for this event, you can put your skills to the test in the Prop Hunt game mode, where players on one team must disguise themselves as everyday items strewn throughout the war zone, while the other team is tasked with tracking them down and destroying them. As a fun party mode, we hope you'll enjoy taking a break from the core modes and try Prop Hunt during this limited-time event playlist."

It's a bit like Hide and Seek, and in the teaser trailer for the upcoming community event, one player is shown hiding as a bucket, while other players are trying to hunt him down.

It's not the first time Prop Hunt made an appearance in the Call of Duty franchise. In 2016's "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered," the Prop Hunt mode is available as well.

The Demolition mode will kick off the Resistance event for a week, meanwhile Prop Hunt will be available to play on Feb. 6-12 and Feb. 20-27.
