The recently released remastered version of the 2007 first person shooter video game, "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare," has now just received a brand new update which fixes a number of issues as well as making some minor changes to the game itself. The update itself was not really detailed by the game's developer, Raven Software, when it was released, but the studio did follow it up with the release of the update's full patch notes.

The new update, Update 1.05, was released for all the versions of the remastered game, namely on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. Before the release of the update's patch notes, several players have reported some changes that they noticed in the game after they updated their copy.

Some players reported that the smoke grenades in the game have apparently been changed to match the grenades found in the original "Modern Warfare" game. Some footstep sounds were also apparently changed including the removal of sounds when aiming down a player's sights.

To further promote the remastered game, Activision has now launched a brand new promotion which it announced through the game's official Twitter account. The company will apparently be offering a Black Friday promotion which will see a $20 discount for the Legacy Edition of "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" that will include the remastered game. Activision further announced that the new $59.99 price will be available at select retailers across the country starting this weekend.

As of the moment, the only way for players to get a copy of the remastered version of "Modern Warfare" is to get it as a bundle with "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare." Activision has yet announced when they would be releasing it as a separate title.

"Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" was released alongside "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" earlier this month, on Nov. 4, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and for the Windows PC.
