A speeding private vehicle crashed into a two-storey building in Orange County, California, early Sunday morning. Said car flew through the air and broke into the window of the building's second floor located in the 300 block of East 17th Street in Santa Ana.

According to reports, the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) said that the driver of the white sedan sent the car into the air after hitting a center divider. The vehicle catapulted into the air since it was traveling at a high rate of speed. It then hit the median and flew right into the dental clinic.

Due to the impact, it resulted in a fire, which was immediately extinguished. There were two people inside the car and both of them obtained minor injuries. One of the victims was lodged into the side of the office building. Meanwhile, the other victim was trapped in the dangling car for more than an hour. Eventually, the Los Angeles County Urban Search and Rescue managed to remove the other victim safely from the vehicle.

"USAR was able to access the passenger door. They used a front loader from the city of Santa Ana to stabilize the vehicle and the members of USAR were able to gain access and pull the victim out from the passenger side of the vehicle safety," said Captain Stephen Horner of the Orange County Fire Authority in a statement.

It is said that the driver was using narcotics, which he admitted during the investigation. He was then admitted to a hospital for observation. He was speeding north on French Street while approaching 17th Street where he launched into the air.

According to reports, the officers were dispatched to the location of the accident at 5:25 in the morning. One of the victims was trapped until 6:45. The OCFA crews and the Los Angeles County Urban Search & Rescue teams worked to remove the vehicle from the building.
