"Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" has entered a new story arc following the graduation of young ninjas from the academy. As Boruto and his friends are now called as genins, they were assigned to different groups to receive their first ever mission. Naruto's eldest sign was assigned to Team 7 along with Sarada and Mitsuki, and the trio is under the supervision of Konohamaru. In episode 42, the group will receive another mission, and this time around, it will be different than anything that they have encountered.

Before the New Year, a new set of synposes was released for "Boruto: Naruto Next Generatons." The plot summary for the upcoming episode 42 was also included, which talks about the new mission that Boruto and his teammates must accomplish. According to Comic Book, Team 7's latest mission involves capturing a criminal that is causing trouble in town.

This kind of mission is what Boruto has been wanting to have ever since Team 7's first mission. The synopsis for "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" episode 42 suggests that Boruto has been bored with their recent missions, and he is looking for another action-packed mission just like their first time when they rescued Kiri.

To recall, the first mission received by Team 7 under the care of Konohamaru involved protecting a ninja village disrupted by bandits. They were able to save everyone in the village and drive away the bandits, thanks to the team effort of Boruto, Sarada and Mitsuki. They were also able to save Kiri, who was abducted by the bandits to threaten the villagers.

Interestingly, the new mission of Team 7 in "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" epsiode 42 is not actually the same as the one they had in the first mission. Contrary to the mission description that talks about a criminal that is robbing a bank, the person in question is actually a helpless man who was just fired from a company. While Boruto is hoping to get some action by beating up a criminal, he might be conflicted to learn about the criminal's sad story.

"Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" episode 42 will air in Japan on January 24th.
