The upcoming episode of the highly popular police procedural drama television series "Blue Bloods" will be featuring a union that fans of the show have long been waiting for. For the longest time, avid viewers of the CBS show have been waiting with bated breath for the romance between Jamie Reagan (played by Will Estes) and Officer Eddie Janko (played by Vanessa Ray) to finally move on to the next level.

According to the recently released previews for "Blue Bloods" season 7 episode 8, both characters may finally be elevating their romance and admitting their true feelings to each other. For the past few seasons — starting with the show's fourth season — both characters have always been keeping their feelings hidden from one another and from everyone else.

Both characters had previously kissed in the fourth season but then they both decided to never let it happen again. Ever since then, the sexual tension between Jamie and Eddie has been extremely insufferable, both for the characters and for the viewers of the show.

The past few episodes of "Blue Bloods" have slowly been building up to this event, with both characters slowly opening up to each other. The previous episode even showcased Jamie telling Eddie about his ex for the first time and how she had left him because he was more dedicated to his career. Eddie also showed signs of slowly opening up to Jamie as she blew off a Bruce Springsteen concert just to be with him.

The entire facade both characters have been putting up on the show will reportedly come crashing down as Eddie gets jealous when she sees Jamie with another woman in his apartment. Recently released teaser images for the new episode shows both characters finally kissing once again.

"Blue Bloods" season 7 episode 8 — titled "Personal Business" — is set to air this week on Friday, Nov. 11, at 10 p.m. EST on CBS.
