Netflix has just revealed the season 4 premiere date of modern horror series "Black Mirror." The series, created by Charlie Brooker, will bring six new tales of mystery and creepiness.

The thrills of every "Black Mirror" episode can be traced to some misuse of advanced technology. Season 4 is no different. It will consist of six new stories titled "Arkangel," "Black Museum," "Crocodile," "Hang the DJ," "Metalhead," and "USS Callister."

Seven teaser trailers have been released by Netflix— one for each new episode and a full season trailer that combines footage from all six.

One of the more exciting trailers is for "Metalhead," directed by "American Gods" producer David Slade. It will be the first strictly black-and-white episode in the entire history of the show.

Meanwhile, the trailer for "USS Callister" shows that it is obviously inspired by the science fiction franchise "Star Trek."

"Hang the DJ" tackles an aspect of modern social media— online dating It features a program that not only decides who people can date but also how long the relationship has to last.

"Arkangel" teases a very "Black Mirror" approach to parenting. It shows a mother willing to stick needles in her daughter's temple, all because she got convinced that "the key to good parenting is control." In the same vein, "Crocodile" explores how human memories can be manipulated.

"Black Museum" features a curator of criminal artifacts who displays them in the titular museum. He assures visitors that every object in the display has "a sad, sick story."

"Black Mirror" creator Brooker has implied that real-world events inspired some of the show's episodes. He revealed that fans tweet and e-mail him about "any horrible event in the world."

"People email me and tweet me about it, saying 'This is very Black Mirror!' Oh, thank you so much!" Brooker said in an October preview event.

"Black Mirror" season 4 will be released on Dec. 29 on Netflix.
