The anticipation for "Attack on Titan" season 3 increases as new details are released for the popular Japanese anime. Fans waited for years before season 2 arrived, and this time, many are excited about season 3 especially that there are many unanswered questions in season 2.

According to Otaku Mode, a new key visual for season 3 was released featuring a mysterious man. The visual shows fan-favorite Captain Levi Ackerman, and new character Kenny Ackerman. The two are seen crossing their weapons, while Kenny is smiling. On the other hand, Levi has a fierce look on his face.

Readers of the manga will no doubt recognize Kenny, but for anime viewers, he is a new character. According to reports, Kenny is Levi's uncle and is a former member of the Police Brigade's Anti-Personnel Control Squad. He will play a major role in the next arc of the series. He will be featured with a different kind of gear, which is designed to take out people instead of Titans.

The teaser featuring Kenny is an indication that the next season will head into a more intense territory. Fans are up to a surprise once "Attack on Titan" season 3 airs since there will be more revelations and more Titan-fighting that will happen.

Meanwhile, a new teaser trailer was released in Japan, which is seen after the anime's recap film for season 2. Tumblr user YaBoyLevi shared that the 10-second teaser shows Kenny. Levi is seen coming from the chimney of the rooftops and throws himself on Kenny while shouting his name.

"Attack on Titan" is based on the original manga by Isayama Hajime. It is set in a world where mankind needs to defend themselves from gigantic human-eating Titans. The manga was first adapted into a TV anime in April 2013 and had its second season in April 2017. The anime was compiled into theatrical films wherein the second season premiered on Jan. 13, 2018.
