Ubisoft's action-adventure game "Assassin's Creed Origins" recently got an update patch. With version number 1.2.0, the update is believed to pave the way for the upcoming The Hidden Ones downloadable content (DLC).

The update is available right now and can be downloaded for free. It is compatible for all platforms that support the game, being the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows PC. However, it comes in different sizes for each platform.

The update size will be 3 GB for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while it is 1.2 GB for PC users via Steam download.

One of the biggest additions is the map update, which expands the map to include the region of Sinai and the Valley of Kings. This expansion is necessary to accommodate all the new content to be delivered in the upcoming DLC.

Along with the patch also comes a new quest called "Incoming Threat," which is a new adventure for "Assassin's Creed Origins" protagonist Bayek. Another notable addition is the ability of the player to sell back unneeded or unwanted outfit to the Weavers.

Aside from the additions that prepare the game for The Hidden Ones DLC, various general improvements to the game come with the patch. These include general bug fixing for broken quests that may hinder players from completing their objectives.

Hippodrome race difficulty is also reduced, and various improvements to the artificial intelligence (AI) behavior of domesticated animals have been implemented. There were also slight tweaks to the cinematic transitions.

There is no release date announced for the upcoming Hidden Ones DLC yet. However, seeing as update 1.2.0 is already available, it may come out later this year.

The DLC is part of the "Assassin's Creed Origins" Season Pass. Not much is known about the DLC, but reports say that it will include another round of Trial of the Gods. It also raises the player level cap to 45.
