Apple iPhone X problems: Users report green line in display

It has not been long since the release of Apple's newest iPhone model, the iPhone X. However, while the features and design have impressed many who have gotten their hands on the newest device, there were some who have encountered some problems with it.

Those who have managed to get their smartphone ahead of its release have already reported issues after putting it to the test. Apparently, a thin vertical green line has appeared on some of the edge-to-edge displays of the phone, which frustrated its owners who have already shared photos of the issue on social media. This issue has been named "the green line of death."

Some tried to restart and restore their devices to its factory settings, but to no luck. The green line remained on the screen. This issue could be coming from an electrical flaw that tends to mess with the way the device displays the pixels. This issue has also affected non-Apple devices, like the Samsung Galaxy S7 in the past, which serves as more proof that it is a hardware problem.

Fortunately, Apple is aware of the problem, as the company's official support Twitter account has answered queries from users. One owner also said that Apple replaced the phone for free at an Apple store, but they did not specify if anyone explained what might be the cause of this issue.

This kind of issue is not a new one in the world of smartphones, especially since this is only the first production run. Aside from the iPhone X and the Samsung Galaxy S7, the Google Pixel 2 XL also has its own display flaws just after its official launch. Apart from that, the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus also had some flaws of its own but in this case, the battery was swelling.
