Merely less than a couple of weeks after the Apple iOS 9.2 was made available, the Cupertino-based company has released the first public beta for iOS 9.2 .1, a newer version of the abovementioned software.
Officially called the iOS 9.2.1 Public Beta 1, the update can now be downloaded by users registered to the Apple Beta Software Program. Members should have already been notified about the beta but for those who are still waiting, they can always check their device's Settings or get it straight from iTunes.
As for those who want to be among the first people who get to try new software releases from Apple such as the first iOS 9.2.1 beta and Mac OS updates, they can sign up to the program without shelling out a cent on Apple's official page for the program.
At the moment, it is still unknown what is contained in the newer iteration of the firmware as Apple is yet to release official notes. GSM Arena, however, points out that there shouldn't be much in it since it is only, to be precise, a version of the Apple iOS 9.2.
That being said, the update should be more about bug fixes and performance tweaks. Meanwhile, Apple Insider is convinced that the iOS 9.2.1 Public Beta 1 and the build 13D11 made available to developers a few days ago are one and the same.
For those who are going through the beta testing, it is important that they keep in mind that when their iPhone or iPad is updated to iOS 9.2.1, they won't be able to revert it to earlier versions of the mobile operating system.
As for the release of the final form of Apple iOS 9.2.1, media outlets believe that it won't take long to arrive. There should be a couple more beta versions to be released by Apple for furnishing purposes, but users ultimately won't have to wait that long for it to formally become available.
