Amiibo news: Yacht Club promises ample Shovel Knight amiibo supplies; Gold Mega Man now on pre-order

The Shovel Knight amiibo Yacht Club Games

Tons of amiibo will soon be available. For starters, Yacht Games Club assures that it won't stop manufacturing the Shovel Knight figurine, which releases on Jan. 8, until every collector and gamer who wants it has it.

A representative of the developer states that "a good supply" of the toy should be up for grabs when it launches. "It shouldn't be a problem finding them. And if it is a problem, there are big shipments coming in every week after that," the Yacht Club rep promises (via Destructoid).

The rep adds that buyers can just simply walk into the store to purchase the Shovel Knight amiibo without having to worry if they will be able to take home one or not. "That's how much I trust they'll be there," the spokesperson guarantees.

Meanwhile, Best Buy is once again taking pre-orders for the Gold Mega Man amiibo, which was sold out mere hours after it was made available. As of this writing, the Legacy Collection Collector's Edition of the figure is currently open for pre-order.

The Gold Mega Man amiibo costs $49.99 as it is bundled with a slew of goodies, which include two Nintendo 3DS "Mega Man" themes, an 18-song sample compilation soundtrack, four "Mega Man" stickers and six "Mega Man" postcards.

Apart from the abovementioned pair of amiibo, there are still more units to look forward to. Previously launched only through the Nintendo Starter Packs, the Bowser and Donkey Kong Skylander amiibo will finally be released as standalone.

Buyers can pick up the Turbo Charge Donkey Kong and his Barrel Blaster or the Hammer Slam Bowser amiibo and his Clown Cruiser for $25 each pack. At the moment, there's no specific release date set for these dual packs.

Meanwhile, Amazon is currently offering the Mabel and Tom Nook amiibo from the "Animal Crossing" series for the discounted price of $6.84 and $6.81, respectively. This saves buyers and collectors from 50 percent of the usual price.
