American television series "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." recently featured the return of Lance Hunter (Nick Blood). Now, fans are asking if the series will see more of Hunter.

Hunter showed up in an episode where he helped Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker). Fitz was stranded and jailed, and Hunter helped him get out of government custody. They also needed to locate the guy who took the other team members and find a way to meet them 74 years in the future. Although their mission is serious, there were humorous lines from Hunter that made the episode seemingly lighter.

Because of that, fans are anticipating that Hunter will get more screen time. It is noted that his last appearance was in season 3 since he left the show for a spin-off that never happened. The last time he was seen in the series was when he and his partner Bobbi Morse (Adrianne Palicki), also known as Mockingbird, were disavowed. The two were then forced to leave the team.

Since Hunter is already seen in the series, TVLine interviewed Blood about his possible return to S.H.I.E.L.D. Blood said, " Who knows! You know what Marvels like... Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is always full of surprises, and things can change overnight. Like, I don't think anyone expected Brett Dalton to return, and yet he did [for Season 4C]. You never know in this world, but I'm sure I will be the last to be told their plans!"

CinemaBlend notes that Marvel is very strict when it comes to spoilers. This could explain why Blood could not directly reveal anything about Hunter. However, there are speculations that his latest appearance is an opening to his return. The outlet adds that the return of Hunter will only be possible if Coulson and Co. will come back before they are brought to the future.

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." airs Fridays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
