As his journey continues to unfold, Fitz (Ian De Caestecker) is determined to find the lost team with the surprising help of Lance Hunter (Nick Blood) in the upcoming episode of the superhero television series based on the Marvel Comics organization of the same name "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."

In a preview video released by Marvel and ABC titled "Rewind," it appears as though Fitz will find himself in a bad position, even imprisoned in the upcoming episode. Fortunately, he is assisted by Lance Hunter in the quest to reunite with his teammates. Lance Hunters appearance in the next installment will be his first appearance in the series since he and Bobbi Morse (Adrianne Palicki) left the team with "a spy's goodbye."

According to Comicbook, the upcoming episode could also explain how Fitz was able to send the "working on it" message written at the back of a post card which he sent to the S.H.I.E.L.D team in the future. Additionally, "Rewind" could also reveal more clues about the identity of the mysterious individual who sent the team through the time travel monolith in the first place. It is also speculated that "Rewind" will center on Fitz and Lance Hunter and may not feature much of team S.H.I.E.L.D.

With the return of Lance Hunter, Bobbi Morse was expected to come back with him, but the actress who plays the character, Adrianne Palicki, is currently busy with her role in "The Orville" so it is unlikely that we will see Morse in the episode. Nonetheless, Palicki has revealed that she is open to the idea of returning to the show.

For Cartermatt, "Rewind" will be an opportunity to see a memorable performance from Ian De Caestecker given that his character is on the spotlight for the episode.

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 5 episode 5 will air on Friday, Dec. 22 at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
