Toyota has released another teaser for the 2019 Avalon ahead of its debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in two weeks. This time, the Japanese automaker brings into focus the upcoming full-size sedan's sequential turn signals.

The latest teaser was posted on the official Toyota USA Twitter account earlier this week. The short video, which shows the 2019 Avalon's wraparound taillights blinking, was accompanied by the caption, "New Year, new attitude.

The addition of sequential turn signals previews a more modern and dynamic appearance for the 2019 Avalon. This feature is also found in other vehicles such as the Audi A4 and Ford Mustang.

Last month, Toyota released teaser photo featuring the 2019 Avalon's front fascia. The image gives a sneak peek at the next-generation full-size sedan's sculped hood, large black mesh grille and Y-shaped LED daytime running lights. The unusual light signature also hints at an aggressive design language for the upcoming Avalon.

Toyota has not revealed specific details about the 2019 Avalon, however, the full-size sedan is expected to undergo significant overhaul. The fourth-generation Avalon was unveiled way back in 2012 and the nameplate only received a modest update in 2016.

The fifth-generation full-size sedan will be built using the Japanese automaker's Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA), which first debuted in the 2018 Camry.

The 2019 Avalon will also reportedly adopt the new Camry's engines, including a 3.5-liter V6 unit that delivers 301 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque as well as a hybrid powertrain. The latter incorporates a 2.5-liter engine and an electric motor which have a combined output of 208 horsepower.

Moreover, the upcoming Avalon will be equipped with the latest technologies such as a navigation system and an infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability.

Toyota will reveal the 2019 Avalon at the Detroit Motor Show on Monday, Jan. 15 at 1:05 p.m. EST. The event will be streamed live here.
