Jeep has introduced the 2018 Grand Cherokee S. Designed specifically for European markets, the new limited-edition model of the luxury SUV is equipped with a sporty, all-black trim.

To complement the aggressive and athletic stance of the 2018 Grand Cherokee S, there are Low Gloss Granite Crystal accents on the badge, grille, step pads, taillights and 20-inch aluminum wheels. The grille and window frames are painted in Gloss Black while the dual exhaust tips have a Black Chrome finish.

The blacked-out exterior can be paired with 10 different paint colors, including the Grand Cherokee-exclusive Sangria Metallic Clear Coat.

Meanwhile, inside the cabin, there are anodized Gun Metal accents, black wood finishes, black accent stitching on the instrument panel and Mopar bright metal pedals. The SRT-style perforated seats are upholstered in black Nappa leather with black accent stitching.

The 2018 Grand Cherokee S also comes with a lot of technologies that further enhance its premium feel. Standard features include Jeep's latest Uconnect infotainment system with an 8.4-inch touchscreen display as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a 7-inch instrument cluster, an Alpine audio system, a panoramic dual-pane sunroof, leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and dual-zone climate control.

Customers will be able to choose from three different powertrain options — a 3.0-liter diesel engine that delivers 250 horsepower, a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 286 horsepower, and a 5.7-liter V8 engine that yields 352 horsepower. The powertrain is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Meanwhile, a four-wheel-drive system with a rear limited-slip differential and a sports suspension come standard. The 2018 Grand Cherokee S is also offered with the Selec-Terrain traction management system which comes with five settings: Auto, Snow, Sand, Mud and Rock.

As for active safety features, the sporty Grand Cherokee model receives forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, rear cross path detection, parking assist and a rear backup camera.

Jeep has not yet announced pricing for the 2018 Grand Cherokee S.
