Car enthusiasts are in for a treat this month as it is already confirmed that the new Toyota Innova will make its first official global appearance in Indonesia on Nov. 23.

According to industry follower Motoroids, the 2016 version of one of the MPV lineups by carmaker Toyota has already been revealed in Indonesia with accompanying official images. The official images of the new Toyota Innova 2016 in Indonesia can also be glimpsed at on Indonesian website Ascomaxx. However, it will not be until later this month that the 2016 Innova will roll out of car dealerships' showrooms.

IBTimes reported that the upcoming 2016 model will be known as the Kijang Innova in Indonesia, and will come out in Q, V, and G trims.

The Indonesian version will apparently come outfitted with a GD 2.4-liter diesel engine, and buyers can choose between automatic transmission and a five-speed manual gearbox model. Reportedly, there will also be a gasoline variant with a four-cylinder 2000cc engine, also to be available in automatic and manual transmissions.

As with other new releases from the Japanese carmaker, the 2016 Toyota Innova's engine and overall design were assembled using the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform.

The interior of the new Innova also got an upgrade, according to observers. There is a new concept three-spoke steering wheel with integrated controls, and each version also comes equipped with unique features. For example, the Q and V variants of the new Innova have a TFT color screen that displays the information needed by the driver. As a premium version, the Q-model also gets a touchscreen entertainment center that can accommodate HDMI and Miracast content.

Meanwhile, aside from the Indonesian launch, the new Toyota Innova will also be reportedly seen in India. According to Financial Express, the new model is expected to make an appearance at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo to be held in February. The website also reported that although the new Toyota Innova will be showcased in India early next year, it will not be launched in the country until late in the year or in early 2017.
