Xbox One, Xbox 360 games currently on sale on the Xbox Store

Microsoft is following recent holiday trends set by Sony and Steam, as games on their Xbox Store have also gone on sale. As reported by Gamespot, hundreds of Xbox One and Xbox 360 games are currently on sale at the Xbox Store. The sale is open for all Xbox Live members. However, Xbox Live Gold members will get 10 percent off on most game purchases.

Games released during the past few months, including "Star Wars: Battlefront II" and "Call of Duty: WWI" are $36 and $45, respectively, for Xbox Live Gold members. Standard Xbox Live members can get the games for $42 and $50, respectively. The "Assassin's Creed" series prequel "Assassin's Creed: Origins" and Bungie's "Destiny 2" currently retail for $40 and $39, respectively, for Xbox Live Gold members, while standard Xbox Live members can avail both of the games for only $45.

On the other hand, "Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus," "FIFA 18," and "NBA 2K18" retail for $36, $24, and $39 respectively for Xbox Live Gold members. The games retail for $42, $30, $45 respectively for standard Xbox Live members. Meanwhile, "Cuphead," "Forza Motorsport 7," and "Middle-earth: Shadow of War" retails for $17, $39, $42 for both Xbox Live Gold and standard Xbox Live members.

Older titles such as "Forza Horizon 3" are available as well for $25. Then, for an additional price of $10.49, players can get the "Blizzard Mountain" and "Hot Wheels" expansion packs for the game. "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is also available for purchase at $20 for Xbox Live Gold members and at $24 for standard Xbox Live members. The Complete Edition of the game, including the expansions, is also available for purchase, still at $20 for Gold members and $25 for non-Gold members.

Finally, some games will even be free of charge, but only for a select group starting next month. Games such as "The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III," "Zombi," and "Tomb Raider: Underworld" will be free this January 2018 for Xbox Live Gold members.
