Members of Microsoft's Xbox Live Games with Gold program will now have more reasons to enjoy the Halloween season as the company has now added a bonus promotion in the form of its "Shocktober" deals.

The added bonus is, of course, just icing on the cake as the company had also unveiled the latest list of titles for its November 2016 Games with Gold free games.

Through their new promotion, Xbox Live members will be able to purchase several "scary" games just ahead of Halloween, all of which are being offering at discounted prices. Some of the games includes titles from the "Resident Evil" franchise, "Alien: Isolation," "Dead Rising 3," Goosebumps," "Wolfenstein: The Old Blood," "Mortal Kombat XL," and "The Evil Within," to name a few.

Members who don't want to purchase the discounted games will, of course, still be pleased with the fact that they will be getting a new set of free games next month. Xbox One gamers will be able to enjoy all four of the free games thanks to the company's backwards compatibility program.

All the games for the Xbox 360 included in the list will be playable on the latest generation console, essentially giving Xbox One owners access to all free games next month.

Xbox One Games with Gold members will be able to download "Super Dungeon Bros" from Nov. 1 until the end of the month, which will then be followed by "Murdered Soul Suspect," which becomes available on Nov. 16 until Dec. 15.

Xbox 360 users, on the other hand, will be getting "Monkey Island: Special Edition" for free starting Nov. 1 until the end of the month. Members will then be getting "Far Cry: Blood Dragons" for free starting on Nov. 15 until Nov. 30.

Until then, members still have a few days to download and play this month's list of Games with Gold free games which includes "MX vs. ATV Reflex," "The Escapist," "I am Alive," and "Super Mega Baseball: Extra Innings."
