WWE 2017: Cesaro and Sheamus retain tag team title in a no-disqualification match; Matt Hardy brings 'Woken' persona to life

World Wrestling Entertainment's (WWE) Monday Night RAW brought another promising match in The Bar versus The Shield. In the episode, we saw Cesaro and Sheamus ("The Bar") take on the challenge of Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose ("The Shield"). Meanwhile, Matt Hardy seemed to transform into a new character called "Woken."

The Bar and The Shield reportedly have a long-standing rivalry going on. The two teams once again clashed as WWE RAW took action to Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. In the first match, Rollins and Ambrose won by disqualification.

However, Kurt Angle appeared after the match and said that Sheamus and Cesaro are not getting off that easily. He demanded the tag team match to be restarted, but with the "No Disqualification" clause attached. This meant that the game will be a chaotic one with limited rules and where anything could happen.

In true RAW fashion, the match was mayhem. After a double suicide dive by Ambrose and Rollins, Cesaro and Sheamus were thrown outside the ring. Wrestlers who initially had nothing to do with the match joined in as the no-disqualification match turned into a free-for-all. Samoa Joe attacked Rollins, and even Roman Reigns joined the fight against The Bar.

However, Sheamus and Cesaro ultimately won the match with a three-count against Ambrose.

One of the other highlights on Monday night RAW was the direction of Hardy's evolution. There are rumors that WWE is building upon the emergence of the wrestler's alter ego.

After his loss to Bray Wyatt, Hardy stayed long enough in the ring to perform the trademark "Delete!" salute. This is a clear sign to fans that he does intend to wake his "broken" character.

They would have to ditch the "broken" label, though, as that remains a trademark from Hardy's Total Nonstop Action (TNA) and Impact Wrestling days. For now, Hardy is going with the name "Woken" for the WWE.
