Award-winning veteran games developer and international games label Team17 had recently announced the digital release of turn-based strategy video game "Worms W.M.D" for the Nintendo Switch which is available via the Nintendo eShop. Team 17 has also released a launch trailer for the new title featuring gameplay footage of the game.

"Worms W.M.D" for the Nintendo Switch comes with all the features of the games predecessor "Worms Armageddon" along with new features such as the introduction of crafting and new gameplay. The title is already dubbed to be the best "Worms" experience ever. New features include brand new game modes such as Liberation and Fort mode updates and a blockbuster line-up of guest stars from popular games like "Rocket League," "Goat Simulator," "The Escapist," and "Yooka-Laylee."

Although "Worms W.M.D" is largely a multiplayer video game, the title gives prominence to an extensive single player which includes 20 training mission, 30 campaign missions, and 10 challenges to compete against friends and climb the leaderboards. It also features a local multiplayer to play against friends using various controller options allowing up to four players using a mixture of either individual Joy-Cons or Pro controller. Local multiplayer can also be expanded to enable up to six players to play just by passing the controller. However, the most anticipated feature would be the full online multiplayer support.

The new crafting system in "Worms W.M.D" allows players to upgrade items such as the Electric Sheep, the Bazooka Pie, and the Holy Mine Grenade while waiting for the opponents to finish their turns. Vehicles will also be introduced for the first time in the franchise which will help players dominate the battlefield. Aside from crafting and vehicles, buildings will also be included in the game which could allow players to gain tactical advantage by hiding in them, protecting the worms from direct attacks.

"Worms W.M.D" is also available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Linux, and Mac via Steam or GOG.
