Windows 10 anniversary update: but fixes come with new updates arrive

A look at the Windows 10 Microsoft

Microsoft has rolled out a couple of cumulative updates for the Windows 10 Anniversary update, which come with much-needed fixes for the bugs that came with the updates from earlier this month.

The updates come in the form of KB3176934 and KB3176936. The former is for members of the Insider program while the latter rolls out for the non-Insider Windows Anniversary PC users.

The official description for KB3176934 is as follows:

"We have released Cumulative Update (KB3176934) to Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14393 on PCs which will bring the build number to 14393.82. This Cumulative Update includes the same fixes as KB3176932 but with an additional fix: Improved download size optimization of updates."

Some of the improvements from the KB3176934 cumulative update for Windows 10 Anniversary were applied on the Network Controller, DNS server, gateways, Storage Spaces Direct, Group Managed Service Accounts and remote procedure calls (RPC).

The same goes for the PowerShell, printer pairing and interoperability, the Windows kernel, Media Core, Windows Store, Connected Standby, Cluster Health service, the Hypervisor debugger and platform and Active Directory.

The KB3176934 cumulative update for Windows 10 Anniversary also has some fixes for Explorer 11 and the 3G and 4G glitch in the Windows 10 Mobile settings. The complete details on the changes can be read here.

As for the KB3176936, Microsoft did not release a changelog and only said that it "makes stability improvements for the Windows 10 Version 1607 servicing stack."

Users can get the cumulative update by going to Settings then Update & Security then Check for Updates. There's no word if it will also be released to the non-Insider Windows 10 Mobile users.

As for the Redstone 2 upgrades from the Windows 10, there was no build released as the team have been working on something else.
