Post-apocalyptic role-playing game "Wasteland 2: Director's Cut" will have a Nintendo Switch port. This news is confirmed by Brian Fargo himself — founder of the video game developer InXile Entertainment.

Fargo first tweeted a photo of a Nintendo Switch that displays the "Wasteland 2: Director's Cut" title menu on its screen, with the caption "How about a little tease..."

Fans of both the game and the console picked up fast, retweeting the news of a new port for the game. Fargo thanked Nintendo fans for their love of the product, saying that his Switch photo "had the quickest traction of most anything I've ever tweeted."

The initial tweet now has more than 600 retweets and 3,000 likes.

Meanwhile, the developer further elaborated on the "Wasteland 2: Director's Cut" port with another tweet. The Switch version will be done by the same team that ported action role-playing game "A Bard's Tale" to iOS and Android platforms.

Fan responses to the upcoming port were mostly positive. Some replies to Fargo's initial tweet said that the game would work well for a mobile console like the Switch. Players who do not have time to play on the PC are delighted with the news of a mobile port, as well.

"Wasteland 2: Director's Cut" is a role-playing experience played as an isometric party-based game, similar to "Baldur's Gate" and "Pillars of Eternity." The game is turn-based, with gameplay that favors a good balance of tactics and strategy. There are multiple ways to solve any given situation.

The level of customization is diverse, featuring hundreds of characters. There are thousands of ways that their appearances can be customized, so no two players will get the same exact experience form the game.

Each character can choose to equip any of the 150 weapons available, further adding to the depth of customization.

"Wasteland 2: Director's Cut" was first released in September 2014. It is the sequel to the first post-apocalyptic game ever created, inspiring the likes of the "Fallout" video game franchise.
