It looks like Creative Assembly has assembled a new expansion for "Total War: Warhammer 2."

The new downloadable content (DLC) is titled "Rise of the Tomb Kings," reports VideoGamer. The DLC is bringing an ancient Egyptian theme to "Total War: Warhammer 2."

The "Rise of the Tomb Kings" expansion for "Total War: Warhammer 2" brings a new campaign pack, as well as four new playable factions. Each faction has their own Legendary Lord, along with specific mechanics for each of the characters.

These four new Legendary Lords for "Total War: Warhammer 2" include "Arkhan the Black," "High Queen Khalida," "Settra the Impossible," and "Grand Hierophant Khatep." These Legendary Lords can be used in the "Mortal Empires" and "Eye of the Vortex" campaigns of the game to search for the legendary "Books of Nagash."

These four new Legendary Lords in "Total War: Warhammer 2" also have unique abilities of their own, such as covering their territories with enormous sandstorms. However, the "Rise of the Tomb Kings" expansion will not have story campaigns for each of the Legendary Lords.

According to the official "Total War" blog, the "Rise of the Tomb Kings" expansion will be available on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018. The expansion can also be pre-ordered now on Steam. Doing so will give players 10 percent off on their purchase.

The "Total War" series of games is a turn-based, real-time tactics (RTT) video game developed by Creative Assembly and published by Sega. The first "Total War" game entitled "Shogun: Total War" was released in June of 2000.

Due to the first game's success, Creative Assembly created more games for the series, including "Medieval: Total War," "Rome: Total War," "Empire: Total War," "Napoleon: Total War," and "Total War: Rome II," to name a few.

Spin-off games were also released by Creative Assembly. These include "Spartan: Total Warrior," "Total War: Arena," "Total War Battles: Shogun," and "Total War Battles: Kingdom."
