Toronto Raptors Trade Rumors 2016: Jonas Valanciunas traded for LA Clippers' Blake Griffin?

With power forward Blake Griffin leaving Los Angeles Clippers and being one of the top free agent players next summer, a lot of teams expressed interest to get him on their respective teams. Griffin is continuing to improve and gives a lot of hard work with his game which makes him more appealing to other teams.

The second best team of the Eastern Conference, Toronto Raptors could make a better lineup with Griffin adding up with Kyle Lowry and DeMar Derozan- "the big three", as dubbed by Inquisitr.

In a list made by 12up, Raptors would have to make their trade more appealing for the Clippers to exchange Griffin. With that in mind, the team's contribution and performance should be taken into consideration. It stated that Norman Powell is showing growth and potential to be the future two guard in Clippers. Terrence Rose is young but could be improved. Patrick Patterson and Chris Paul could do something with their offense.

Clippers' big man Jonas Valanciunas could be a loss but an appealing trade if they add up another player and exchange a trade package.

If they did get Griffin, Inquisitr stated that they should make him sign a long term contract since Griffin is bound to be a free agent next offseason and could join other teams. The trade that they made in exchange for Griffin could be wasted if this scenario could ever happen. Inquisitr further said that the Raptors would be a 'serious threat' in the playoffs regardless of them obtaining Griffin or not.

LA Clippers want to have the best trade for Griffin to maximize their team before they lose him for free agent next season. The trade talks surrounding Los Angeles Clippers' Blake Griffin and Toronto Raptors are said to be a long shot but it could work for the both of them.
