Developer Ubisoft gets into the holiday spirit with its latest live-action trailer for "Tom Clancy's The Division," which is aptly titled "Silent Night." But the promo shows that things are neither calm nor bright but dark and brooding.

Things start off on a light, Christmassy note with snow, lights and Christmas trees in the background. But this quickly changes. Instead of gaiety and laughter, the Christmas-themed promo is overflowing with explosions and destruction, people in arms and kids in danger.

The "Tom Clancy's The Division" promo restores the confidence of fans about the game. Not too long ago, Ubisoft received criticism after talks about the game being downgraded and quite a lot of delays.

Uproxx believes that the game is finally turning into something that gamers actually expect and its developer actually imagined it would be. Just recently, closed alpha testing of the game was held on the Xbox One. Soon, more players will get to try out the game too.

Ubisoft already guaranteed that an open beta will be held early next year. Unfortunately, the game studio is yet to designate a specific date when this can happen. But with the 2016 nearing, it is best for fans to keep their eyes peeled for announcements.

Meanwhile, one of the other features to look forward to in "Tom Clancy's The Division" is the changing weather conditions that lead environmental artist Sebastian Lindoff and Ubisoft Massive technical art director Chad Chatterton promised will make the gameplay even better.

"You can choose when to play any of the missions, night or day, with clear weather or during a snow blizzard," the duo told Forbes.

"We only restrict some of the heaviest fog settings in some missions because it could adversely affect too much the combat balancing, but all the other weather settings can have an impact on how you approach an encounter, varying the levels of visibility for you and your enemies," they added.

"Tom Clancy's The Division" will be out Mar. 8, 2016 for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
