Talks of a real-live "Teen Titans" TV series has been going around for so long yet production (aside from a pilot script) has not really gotten anywhere until this year. Apparently, the real-life adaptation of "Teen Titans," now just known as "Titans," will make its way in an all-new, subscription digital TV service in 2018.

Last August, Deadline revealed some of the actors and actresses set to bring to life the main protagonists in the live action series. Alan Ritchson, best known for his role in "Blood Drive," will play Hank "Hawk" Hall, while actress Minka Kelly will play Dawn "Dove" Granger.

Fans of the teen show will also recognize Dick Grayson, one of the most prominent heroes in the DC universe. He will be played by Brenton Thwaites, best known for his role as the son of Will Turner in "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales."

Meanwhile, the role of Starfire will be filled by "24: Legacy" star Anna Diop; while Raven, the mysterious empathy in the Teen Titan team, will be played by 13-year-old Teagan Croft.

Recently, the production team also found the perfect actor to play Beast Boy, the mischievous member of the Titans who is capable of changing himself into animals of different sizes. According to Den of Geek, his character will be played by Ryan Potter, the voice actor behind Hiro in the popular animated film "Big Hero 6."

"Titans follows a group of young soon-to-be Super Heroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe," read the series' official synopsis. "In this action-packed series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes, including Starfire, Raven, and many others. Titans is a dramatic, live-action adventure series that will explore and celebrate one of the most popular comic book teams ever."

"Titans'" official release date is yet to be announced, but rumors tout that the DC series will be shown in 2018.
