Christian football player Tim Tebow has just celebrated his 28th birthday, and he did it in the best way possible—by sharing God's love and kindness to the world.

For Tebow, August is not just the month that he celebrates his birthday, according to PEOPLE,  It is also the month when people celebrate the anniversary of the Tim Tebow Foundation, a charity he spearheaded "to bring faith, hope and love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need."

This month, Tebow's charitable foundation just marked its fifth year of existence. The foundation has created an eight-minute video that shares the stories and photos of Tebow with the children from all over the world whom he has helped.

The video begins and ends with the story of Flora Mae Manuel, one of the first patients of the Tebow CURE Hospital, a modern five-storey facility in Davao City, Philippines, which opened just last December.

"Being part of the Tim Tebow Foundation these past five years has been one of the greatest blessings of my life," Tebow said. "I am so humbled by the way God has blessed this foundation through the support of so many."

Aside from providing children's health care, the Tim Tebow Foundation is also engaged in many other fields. It has build Timmy's Playrooms in its children's hospital so as to offer comfort and respite for children dealing with diseases. It has also launched the W15H programme, which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses. Another of its project is Orphan Care, a programme that provides financial and moral support to orphans and families adopting international children with special needs.

Tebow has often said that charity work is "the most important thing that I do."

"In the past five years, I have laughed, I have cried and I have fallen in love over and over again with the children we are able to serve around the world," he added.
