Tim Tebow back as ESPN sports analyst after waiver from Philadelphia Eagles

After being dropped by the Philadelphia Eagles just last week, Christian football star Tim Tebow is not about to let go of his passion for football just yet, especially since he has taken back his former job as a sports analyst for the ESPN show "SEC Nation."

Back in 2014, when Tebow stopped playing for the National Football League (NFL), he served as a Southeastern Conference (SEC) analyst. He did such a great job that ESPN executives said he would be welcome anytime he chooses to come back.

"Tim quickly developed into an excellent analyst last year, and we were not shy about acknowledging his home at ESPN should he be available to return," said John Wildhack, ESPN Executive Vice President.

The feeling of admiration and goodwill seems to be mutual since Tebow cannot wait to work as an SEC analyst again. On his personal Twitter account (@TimTebow), the Christian athlete wrote: "So excited to be back with my #SECNation Family this Saturday! Nashville here we come!"

Tebow has struggled with the NFL for the past couple of years, having been passed on from team to team. He has not appeared in a regular season game since 2012, when he served as a backup quarterback for the New York Jets. The peak of his football career was during 2010 when he played for the Denver Broncos as their starting quarterback. But his sports career started crumbling in 2013, when he was cut from the roster of the New England Patriots.

Tebow is a Heisman Trophy awardee known for his Christian faith and humanitarian spirit, having spearheaded the Tim Tebow Foundation. His charity provides aid to orphans and their adoptive parents, builds children's hospitals and play areas, as well as hosts gala nights for special children, among many other things.
