The long-awaited "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" Game of the Year Edition will be released on Aug. 30, developer CD Projekt Red announced following a leak on Amazon.

The Game of the Year Edition was made official last month, but the studio kept its cards close to its chest with regards to details.

It is unclear if CD Projeckt Red was planning to announce "The Witcher 3" Game of the Year Edition release date the day it did or it was only compelled to do so due to the Amazon leak.

Either way, it was going to be revealed sooner or later anyway seeing that there are only a couple of weeks from the launch. CD Projekt Red coupled the announcement with a trailer, which showed an overview of what fans are getting in the new season.

While it is referred to as "The Witcher 3" Game of the Year Edition, it will be subtitled Complete Edition in some territories and regions such as North America.

The product basically compiles the base game and all add-on content that was released for it. This includes the major expansion pack such as the "Hearts of Stone" released October last year.

"The Witcher 3" Game of the Year Edition also includes the massive "Blood and Wine" downloadable content (DLC) released last May.

All the free DLCs released for the game are also included. There is a total of 16, the last one released August last year. That being said, the Game of the Year Edition should give fans a complete experience of Geralt of Rivia's third "The Witcher" adventure.

"The Witcher 3" Game of the Year Edition will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC on Aug. 30. The official description reads:

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Game of the Year Edition offers over 150 hours of open world adventures and sees players take on the role of professional monster slayer Geralt of Rivia, as he seeks out the child of prophecy in Wild Hunt, faces off against a ruthless bandit captain in Hearts of Stone, and unravels the terrifying secret of the beautiful region of Toussaint in Blood and Wine.
