'The Walking Dead' season 8 spoilers, plot update: Eugene, Rick will be in great danger

Two episodes before its midseason finale, things will be pretty intense for Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and his group. In "The Walking Dead" season 8 episode 7, titled "Time After Time," Rick and Eugene (Josh McDermitt) will be in great danger as the AMC series gears up to feature a major cliffhanger.

In the penultimate episode's official synopsis, Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) is going to need the help of his lieutenants to solve the problem The Sanctuary is currently facing. Rick and his group, on the other hand, will continue to do what they have planned.

In episode 7's trailer, it looks like Eugene will have most of the screen time as he might be Negan's next victim. He, too, will find out that Dwight (Austin Amelio) is the one who betrayed The Saviors.

"This place is gonna fall," Dwight warns Eugene. Dwight also gives Eugene advice to refrain from doing anything in order to remain in the winning side. With that, it looks like Eugene will be up to something as the teaser reveals he is being held with a gun at the back of his head.

Also, in "Time After Time," Rick will be seen stripped down to his underwear while being brought to Jadis' Junkyard battleground pit once again. From the looks of it, he will come up against the dangerous and ravenous walker named Winslow. However, there are assumptions that The Whisperers have something to do with Rick's abduction.

Additionally, Morgan (Lennie James) will be seen holding a gun and eyeing a target in "The Walking Dead" season 8 episode 7. And with the announcement of his inclusion in "Fear the Walking Dead" crossover, this might be the last time that fans would see Morgan in "The Walking Dead." The trailer also gives a glimpse of Michonne (Danai Gurira) and Daryl (Norman Reedus) together.

"The Walking Dead" season 8 episode 7, titled "Time After Time," airs on Sunday, Dec. 3, at 9 p.m. EST on AMC.
