'The Walking Dead' season 6 spoilers: major deaths expected?

The winter finale of "The Walking Dead" season 6 teased that the notorious comic book villain Negan is closer than he ever was. Jeffrey Dean Morgan will breathe to the vicious character for the series and the actor teased that the comic book version of the baddie won't be very different from his take.

"As far as I know, it's going to be very much parallel to the comic books," Morgan told TV Guide. "If you know what's coming, then I don't have to tell you," the actor went on to tease. The actor also stated that Negan is coming with this trusty sidekick – a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire.

Fans who read the comics by Robert Kirkman would know that Negan likes to call his weapon of choice Lucille. "I feel real comfortable with Lucille in my hands, let's say that," Morgan further teased. Notably, Lucille and Negan caused a lot of bloodshed together and if Morgan's statement is any indication, viewers will see some of that in "The Walking Dead" season 6.

[Spoiler Alert! Proceed with caution.]

In the comics, Lucille was once drenched in Glenn's blood. Negan is responsible for killing the former pizza guy in the books and if the show will truly be loyal to its source material, Glenn's death is very imminent, which would explain why he got out of those pile of walkers alive in episode 3.

This guess is given more weight with showrunner Scott Gimple's remark during an Entertainment Weekly interview, where he stated that the show has been quite to the letter when it comes to scenes with the Saviors, a deadly group of survivors that Negan leads and it's looking to stay that way.

That being said, Glenn might be killed for real this time. But he may not be only one. The Spoiling Dead Fans, which almost always provides accurate spoilers for the show, claims that Sasha will also meet her demise in "The Walking Dead" season 6 in the hands of the Saviors. Her death will allegedly be the way the killer survivors make an entrance to the show officially.

As for Negan, the villain is expected to show up in the finale of "The Walking Dead" season 6, which returns to AMC on Feb. 14, 2016.
