It was initially announced at New York Comic Con last month by EP Robert Kirkman that there would be a crossover between AMC's "The Walking Dead and "Fear the Walking Dead." Last Sunday night, it was revealed that Lennie James, who plays Morgan Jones in TWD, will move to "Fear the Walking Dead" as a recurring character in the upcoming fourth season.

James' crossover was revealed at "Talking Dead," shocking some of the show's fans since it was initially rumored that it would be Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) who would be doing the crossover.

AMC has already released a couple of pictures showing James at a table reading along with his co-stars Alycia Debnam-Carey, Colman Domingo, Frank Dillane, and "Fear the Walking Dead" showrunners Ian Goldberg and Andrew Chambliss. A picture showing James on set was also revealed.

According to Scott M. Gimple, executive producer for both series, James' new commitment to "Fear the Walking Dead" would mean new possibilities for both the shows. "Lennie James' brilliance and humanity in his portrayal of Morgan Jones has been part of the DNA of what makes 'The Walking Dead' so fantastic since the very beginning," he said.

"Morgan's story will continue in this season of 'The Walking Dead,' and then, it begins again in the upcoming season of 'Fear the Walking Dead,' pushing the series — and the 'Waking Dead' universe itself — into new directions and possibilities."

James said at "Talking Dead" that he is hoping his fans would stick with his journey as Morgan Jones in the crossover. He also said that his success is down to his fans, and that he is looking forward to exploring his character in a new light.

Since "Fear the Walking Dead" is a spinoff prequel series to TWD, it could mean that fans would see more of Morgan Jones' life before and during the start of the zombie apocalypse before he met Rick (Andrew Lincoln). To those who do not know, Morgan was the first character Rick met in "The Walking Dead" pilot episode.

"Fear the Walking Dead" season 4 will air sometime in 2018.
